Stop Passive Churn.
Recover Failed Payments.

3 ready-to-send emails to recover failed payments and win back lost revenue. No signup required.

How it works

When a subscription payment fails, your customer didn't choose to leave — their card just declined. Sending a short series of reminder emails gives them a chance to fix it before their account lapses. This technique is called dunning — and it's one of the most reliable ways to recover revenue without any sales effort. The three templates below cover the most critical moments in that window.

To add these in Stripe: go to Settings → Billing → Automatic collection and paste each email into the corresponding reminder slot.

Email 1: Friendly Heads-Up

Trigger: Immediate failure. Goal: Inform, not accuse.
Subject:Action Required: Your payment for [Product Name] failed

Email 2: Urgent Reminder

Trigger: Attempt #2 fails. Goal: Increase urgency and state consequence of non-payment.
Subject:Second Notice: Update your payment for [Product Name]

Email 3: Final Notice / Cancellation

Trigger: Final attempt fails. Goal: Confirm cancellation and provide easy reactivation path.
Subject:Your [Product Name] subscription has been canceled

Why do customers cancel?

Most revenue walks out voluntarily. Keep Roots shows the right save offer at the exact moment customers cancel.
